Pumpkin Patch & Dog Park

Today was the class trip to the pumpkin patch. It was a little cloudy and in the 60’s, but didn’t predict the wind and how cold it would be. We told the students they would be fine with out their coats…Whoops. I think the students were fine since they were running around, but the teachers and parents were pretty cold. It was a really nice farm were the kids could take a hay ride, learn about corn, apples, pumpkin, pick their own pumpkins, go through a corn maze, and play in the hay. Here are just a few pictures from the trip. I did get a lot of them.

We had such a great time at the Butterhof’s pumpkin farm. This year the shape of the maze was made into a deer. It was tricky and we had to yell to Mr. Joe in the watch tower to help us find the exit. We were so lost he had to come to us to guide us out. It reminded me of what the Roloff’s farm might be like. I used to watch Little People, Big World all the time; now I could not tell you anything about what is going on in their lives.

After work I had to return a bike rack for the car that Sam and I got a while back. We bought it and thought it would work perfectly and I’m sure it would have if my car only had a hitch on it. We could have gotten one installed, but figured not now. Then I rushed home to grab Bruisers shot papers and had him hop in the car and rushed over to City Hall before they closed for the weekend. The city we live in just opened a dog park and today was the Grand Opening. So I got a pass for Bruiser and we headed over to check out the festivities. Well, no one was there. I thought it would be packed with people so we went in and he ran around alone and then watched his new buddy the fireman workout outside. He just sat there and watched him the whole time until Joey a Puggle came by to play. Towards the end Bru had a little territorial problem because the dog came in between Bru and I and he did not like the dog getting close to his mommy.
