Tomato Sauce
Tomato Sauce
- 1 large can of Hunts 100% Natural Diced Tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 can of Hunts 100% Natural Tomato Paste (6 oz)
- 3 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
- 1/2 large can of water (7 oz)
- basil (fresh or dry)
- parsley (fresh or dry)
- EVOO
Put the chopped garlic and EVOO in a large pot (enough EVOO to just cover the bottom of the pot so the garlic does not burn). Saute the garlic and then add the can of tomatoes, water (use the empty can of tomatoes and fill half way with water), and tomato paste. Add in basil and parsley to taste and garlic powder if needed. keep on LOW HEAT! stirring occasionally. I took out some of the sauce and blended it in my Magic Bullet, since I used diced tomatoes it was a little chunky. Let it cook for about thirty minutes or so- you be the judge! I transfer the sauce to small containers and freeze some!
Thank Christina for the recipe I just changed it up a bit.
